The Ganjmandi police have launched a crackdown on illegal foreigners living in the city and arrested 46 Afghan nationals during their first sweep.
According to the police, the arrested persons had been staying in the city without genuine documents and they were allegedly involved in subversive activities and have been taken into custody under the Foreign Act.
Some of the arrested Afghans were identified as Wali, Habib Ullah, Hamza, Jamroz, Naimatullah, Abdul Mateen, Hameed Khan, Daood Khan, Haji Wakeel Khan, Qudrat-u-llah Khan, Sameeullah, Muhammad Nabi, Khusta Gul, Sadiq-u-llah, Sanaullah, Sher Muhammad, Abdul Qayyum, Zeebu-llah Khan, Allah yar, Bismullah, Ahsanullah Khan and Ahmed.
The police have registered cases and further investigation is under way.
