SUKKUR:
Conflicting reasons have surfaced for the murder of Ghoto family elder, who was killed on Monday.
The police have yet to find the victim’s body as well.
Soomar Ghoto, resident of Soomar Ghoto village, was shot dead by unidentified men inside his house and the suspects ran away with his body. The Ghoto family members immediately put the blame on the Chachar family due to their four-year-old enmity.
Sources claimed, however, that Soomar Ghoto was involved with someone from his own community and was killed by her relatives.
The suspects are taking advantage of the Ghoto-Chachar feud, a resident added.
Ghotki DPO Saqib Ismail Memon told The Express Tribune that they have mobilised all resources to locate the body.
He assured that it would be found soon. Sardar Mohammad Khan Ghoto and Sardar Haji Khan Chachar were not available for comment.
Several members of the Ghoto family blocked the National Highway after news of the murder spread.
They shouted slogans against the police for failing to find the victim’s body.
