Helping tdps: WB to deliver promised $75m in August
WB management will consider entering into another Development Policy Credit (DPC) on growth with Pakistan

World Bank (WB) has made the commitment to deliver $75 million it promised to help the Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) in August this year, secretary Economic Affairs Division informed a meeting between the economic mangers of Pakistan and WB senior officials. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the meeting with Director World Bank Satu Kristina Kahkonen in Islamabad the other day. Kahkonen congratulated the government of Pakistan on completing seven successful IMF reviews and entering the eighth review process. She also congratulated Dar on meeting WB targets for energy sector. She said that the WB management will consider entering into another Development Policy Credit (DPC) on growth with Pakistan as soon as the process on the second DPC closes.
