The Sindh High Court (SHC) directed the relevant authorities to allow Muttahida Qaumi Movement Rabita Committee member Qamar Mansoor to meet his family members. Mansoor has been detained by the Rangers for 90 days for his alleged involvement in serious crimes. A division bench passed this direction while hearing a petition filed by the detained leader's mother, who took the Rangers to court for disallowing their meeting.
The paramilitary force had detained him for 90 days for interrogation. The petitioner and other family members were not being allowed to meet the detained MQM leader, the court was informed.

Another bench granted protective bail to another MQM Rabita Committee member, Abdul Rauf Siddiqui, in 16 cases relating to hate speech. Granting him bail against a surety of Rs 10,000 in each case, the judges asked him to surrender before the trial court.
