PESHAWAR: Government teachers from Kurram Agency have asked the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa governor and FATA additional chief secretary to pay them. The teachers, while holding a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Wednesday, warned they would protest outside the FATA Secretariat if their salaries were not released. Mujeeb Noor, one of the teachers, said they had tried out for the positions and had gone through a tough selection process. They have been teaching for over 30 months now.“However, their salaries have not been released yet,” he said. “This is unfair and unjust.” According to Noor, teachers are the nation builders and ought to be treated fairly. “We have never heard about such treatment of nation builders across the globe,” Noor told the media. He announced there would be a sit-in and a protest till the day their salaries would be released.
