Summer holidays: Proposal for extension in school vacations

KARACHI: Education secretary Fazlullah Pechuho has sent a proposal to the office of Chief Secretary to extend the summer holidays of schools till August 11.

All government and private educational institutions of Sindh will be closed till August 11 and classes will commence from August 12.

According to him, the proposal has been drafted considering the current situation of rains and floods in Sindh.

He said that many schools are occupied by flood victims, which is why reopening schools on August 3 is not possible.
