In other news, Katrina recently sought to dispel rumours that she has gotten engaged to Ranbir Kapoor, clarifying she has no marriage plans for now. “I’m definitely not engaged. I know you guys are so sweet and you seem to want me to get married, but there are no such plans for now. So, please bear with me being not married for some more time,” she said at Phantom’s trailer launch.
Engagement rumours surfaced on Katrina’s birthday dated July 16, when she and Ranbir had reportedly headed to Alibaug to celebrate. Conjecture was that Ranbir had proposed and gifted a platinum-and-diamond eternity band to her on the occasion.
The rumour mill has churned out a string of rumours regarding their engagement and break-up over the years. Ranbir and Katrina are said to have gotten close during the filming of their 2009 rom-com Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.
