Phantom: Saif Ali Khan's quest to kill Mumbai attack mastermind 'Hariz' Saeed

After setting the box office on fire with his last release Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kabir Khan is finally out with the dramatic trailer of his much-delayed film Phantom, reported.

The film is about Saif's quest to find and kill Hariz Saeed, a character based on Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed who India considers to be the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attack.

Bruised, unkempt hair and blindfolded. That's what Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif looked like in the posters of the film shared by the director.

Since the first pictures from the film sets went viral in 2013, Phantom has created a frenzy among fans. The delay in the release of the film has kept the movie in headlines for past two years.

After Race 2, this is the second time that Katrina and Saif will share screen space. Phantom is a action-thriller in which Saif is playing a spy while Katrina will essay the role of a photo journalist.

The film has been shot in Beirut, Turkey, Canada, Mumbai, Kashmir and Punjab.

Raj - USA | 9 years ago | Reply Bollywood movies have lots of viewers in many countries which include, all SAARC countries, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, UK, Germany, USA, Canada, Japan, China, many countries in Africa and Middle East. Aamir Khan's PK was released simultaneously int 36 movie theaters in China. Chinese online movie streaming services hulu.com also carries a gooe number of Bollywood movies. Technical quality of Bollywood movies are next only to Hollywood and songs in Bollywood movies are captivating. Bollywood movies are effective in projecting view points and influencing audience. Bollywood is doing a great job projecting Hafiz Saeed and Lekhvi as terrorists to the world community.

Ali | 9 years ago | Reply @Waseem: I think you have very little knowledge of current affairs. There were strong evidences found how India is sponsoring Taliban to do attacks in Pakistan. A recent ISPR statement also stated that India was behind the Peshawar's Army Public School Attack. So Waar movie depicted very true picture. As long as Hafiz Saeed Sb is concerned, India so far has completely failed to provide any solid evidence that Hafiz Saeed was involved in Mumbai attacks. It was India's inside job to isolate Pakistan. Why India is in pain on Pak-China economic corridor? Why Pakistani officials were not allowed to meet with so called Ajmal Kasab to do investigations of our end? It was totally one sided drama. This movie is made to simply create hatred in Hindus against Muslims under the wicked leadership of Modi. A simple question comes here, why such move was not made before? Why it is being made now, under Modi's regime? What about the Indian culprits who were found involved in bombing of Samjhota Express? Why they not make a movie of burning thousands of Muslims in Gujrat by Hindus under devil Modi instructions.

It was all planned and done by them and they blame Hafiz Saeed.. against which they themselves dont have any eveidence except that they say they had a Dream, and saw Saeed, Lakhvi and Dawood killing HINDUS-tanis. The best part is that they, HINDUS-tanis have only shown Ajmal Kassab with AK-47 and a 9mm Mauser.. No killing being done by him.. Anyway, all them so called terrorists, the other 8, we dont know who they were, never saw in press their IDs or faces, even the corpses; So, only one shown and captured, Kassab. But here is the caveat, Karkare and his assistant were shot near point blank range, and after autopsy, 5.57mm bullets were removed from their bodies, also the 4 Jews killed when bodies sent back to Israel, they were riddled with 5.57mm bullets.. LO & BEHOLD, terrorists weapons shown were AK-47 and 9mm Mauser, AK-47 takes a 7.62mm bullet, not 5.57mm.. .. and you know what: Only HINDU_stani troops and security forces use 5.57mm bullets, as it does not fit any other magazine or barrel, only HINDUS-tan security forces weapons, and this was done to avoid THEFT of bullets from the military stores. They marry Hindu women and somany other rituals to show loyalty to a terrorist mindset in Bharat. This is one such instance. Their hindu wives keep such trash with Muslim names in check. Remember what that notorious terrorist from Bombay said about ShahRukh Khan? Bal Thackeray was the founder of Shiv Sena, a despicable terrorist army (Sena in their lingo means army) which is still controlling Bombay.

As a matter of fact India does not want them to be killed or deported as India will continue making lemonade and distribute throughout the civilized world (sans China and North Korea) as long as they are alive and free to roam in Pakistan. Most in the West and USA do drink or take occasional sip of the lemonade which reminds them of LeT/Hafiz/Lakhvi and the tree/country where these lemons are grown. Pakistanis do not understand the value of goodwill in this age of internet when everyday billions read horror stories of 1993 and 2008 terror attacks on Mumbai engineered by elements in Pakistan again and again for coming generations. Isn't that what US and NATO doing so far ? @Liberal: Our message in Bajrangi Bhaijan is true and so is the one in Phantom. We do not wish war with Pakistan or kill Pakistanis. But should that stop us from wishing to eliminate terrorists whom your government is not willing to punish despite proof from UN, US and multiple international intelligence, not to mention India since you wont digest anything coming from India. Our message of love should not be taken by those jackals within you as sign of our weakness. And some day insha-allah. Hopefully Pakistan and India will join hands to eliminate extremists from both India and Pakistan, only then the rest of us common men can be left to live in peace. The thing is, you cannot restrict people from making movies like these. Hollywood has several movies that shows Russia in bad light, heck some of their recent war movies show PAK/AFG in bad light as well. So instead of making a big deal out of it, you should just ignore if you don't like it. Simple as that.

The people of Pakistan are wondering how much Hafiz Saeed and other Pakistani state and non-state actors were involved in the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Are we still running around claiming Ajmal Kasab was not from Pakistan? Indians are certainly obsessed about Mumbai attacks, unwilling to give up and they have the backing of the USA, our masters. Why not come clean? For the sake of Pakistan?

The Mumbai carnage that the Indians try to implicate Hafiz Saeed in, has too many ambiguities. The biggest one is the murder of officer Hemant Kurkure who was putting Parohit and other extremists in the Indian military in quite a spot with his investigations. Moreover, the Indian hand behind terror in Pakistan is well established. So, this cheap movie like dozens of others they have produced do them no favors. India funded and orchestrated terror groups like the TTP and so-called Baluch insurgency.

In the wake of Pakistan's prominence on various fronts, India is a fruit gone sour, which is why their propaganda and progress have been shifted into over drive. Shenanigans on the part of India have also been noted and highlighted in the international media for their role in finding and orchestrating terror in Pakistan.
