Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will allot tickets for the upcoming local government elections to those party workers who did not abandon the PML-N during Musharraf’s regime, MNA Hamza Shahbaz said on Friday.
He was speaking at a meeting of district office bearers in Model Town. The PML-N will support party workers who have shown commitment to the party, he said. District office bearers will meet every two months and he would visit each district to hold meetings with party workers, he said.
Shahbaz said the PML-N had always respected its workers and most of them had been elected in the national and provincial assemblies as well as the senate. He said party workers who will not be given tickets for the local bodies election will be nominated on five specified posts in every ward and others will be included in peace and reconciliation committees. Shahbaz said the participation of party presidents and general secretaries in meetings of district development had been made compulsory. Party office-bearers will be given jobs.
