‘Do more’: Govt responded poorly to floods: Siraj

party workers and volunteers from welfare organisations operated by the JI to rush to flood-hit area

LAHORE:
Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq accused the government on Tuesday of being indifferent towards those hit by the recent floods. He expressed grief over the losses caused by rains and flashfloods in several areas across the country. He said crops on thousands of acres had been destroyed and hundreds of people rendered homeless. Haq said that flood victims had not been given timely relief. He asked party workers and volunteers from welfare organisations operated by the JI to rush to flood-hit areas and help the calamity-hit people.
