Police arrest three suspected terrorists from Karachi

Police claims the accused were planning to carry out targeted killings in the city

KARACHI: Police on Sunday arrested three suspected terrorists allegedly planning to carry out targeted killing in the city during Eidul Fitr from Surjani Town area of Karachi.

The suspects were arrested by the Crime Branch after an encounter.

According to police the accused, identified as Abdulla Mufti s/o Abdul Majid, Danish Ahmad s/o Zahoor Ahmad, Majeed s/o M Ibrahim, were involved in target killing, ‘bhatta’ collection, kidnapping for ransom, collecting donations and financing a banned organization. All three of them belong to a religious organization.

Police have recovered three hand grenades, three pistols and 12 rounds of bullets from their possession.

FIRs have been registered the accused at the Surjani Town Police Station, while police have started the investigation.
