Rounded up: Ten suspects arrested

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Police arrested 10 outlaws including eight suspects and recovered a stolen car, weapons and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday.

The police conducted raids at slums areas, the Afghan basti, under-construction buildings, bus stands and other areas.

The Shalimar police conducted a search operation in the Bheka Syedan area and arrested eight suspects. The alleged suspects have been shifted to the police station for investigation, the police spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, raiding teams of Koral,Khanna and Lohi Bher  police stations arrested  four suspects identified as Imran Shahza, Ehsan, Muddsar and Sameena. A stolen car, weapons and other stolen property was recovered from their possession. Similarly, the police also arrested six professional beggars from various areas. The beggars have been sent to different police lock-ups for further investigation.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appealed to the citizens to remain vigilant and inform the police about suspicious activities in their respective localities.
