KARACHI: In the wake of Rangers targetted raid and arrests of Muttahida Qaumi Movement workers from party headquarters, Nine Zero, senior party leader and Rabita Committee member Haider Abbas Rizvi has been told to not come to party headquarters temporarily, The Express Tribune has learnt.

"Haider Abbass Rizvi has been told not to come to Nine Zero because law enforcement agencies want to implicate him in cases of sectarian killings in the city," a source privy to the development said.

"Law enforcement agencies have warned Rizvi against leaving the city," the source added.

Rangers conducted a targetted raid at Nine Zero in Azizabad early on Friday morning, arresting Rabita Committee in charge Kaiful Warah and committee member Qamar Mansoor. The paramilitary force also surrounded the houses of party leader Farooq Sattar and Rizvi. However, Rizvi was not present at his house at the time.

"The rest of the leaders will continue to perform their political duties," the source said, claiming Rizvi is the only advised against visiting the headquarters.

The MQM leader has not been attending public gathering for the past few days, keeping his activities restricted to only visiting the headquarters at times.

Akha | 9 years ago | Reply Rangers should show proof.... and a common karachite can sense their biased nature in the Current operation....for the previous raid on nine zero nothing proved so far....unless they show proof publicly...MQM will get the sympathy vote. Lets see if they can follow terror financing against PPP.
