Army chief reaches Waziristan to spend Eid with troops
General Raheel will spend the religious festival with troops engaged in Operation Zarb-e-Azb

Army chief General Raheel Sharif arrived in Waziristan on Friday evening to spend Eid with Pakistan Army soldiers.
"General Raheel will spend the religious festival with troops engaged in Operation Zarb-e-Azb in forward locations in Waziristan," an Inter Services Public Relations statement said.

Last year, army chief had also spent Eidul Fitr with army troops by staying overnight at the Miramshah camp.

The military offensive against militants in FATA was initiated in June 2014.
Earlier on Wednesday, the army chief visited Corps Headquarters in Peshawar where an Iftar dinner had been hosted in the honour of the families of the Peshawar attack victims.
General Raheel said most of the terrorists involved in the December 16 massacre at Army Public School (APS) Peshawar, had met their fate.
