And then came the teaser of the film. A one minute five seconds long video that introduces Shah Rukh in a never-seen-before avatar. Here, take a look:
Shah Rukh is playing a Gujrati don in Raees and has absolutely nailed the look. Unfortunately though, the teaser doesn't reveal much about the plot of the film and neither the posters nor the teaser feature Mahira or Nawazuddin Siddiqui -- the other two lead characters in the film. So their fans will have to wait a bit longer.

However, that didn't stop Mahira from tweeting the link to the teaser:

Shah Rukh too was quick to respond:
@TheMahiraKhan yo baby….check out the swag. Hope all well with work and family.

Raees is directed by Rahul Dholakia and is being produced by Shah Rukh's Red Chillies entertainment and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment. The first shooting schedule has been completed while the second leg of the shoot will take place towards the end of this year. The film will hit cinemas on Eid 2016 alongside Salman Khan's equally-hyped movie, Sultan.
