Eidul Fitr : Capital police devise security plan

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have devised a security plan for Eidul Fitr with special deployment at worship places and patrolling in various areas of the city. According to a police spokesman, under the security plan, more than 3,500 policemen would be deployed to guard Eid congregations at 667 places including 19 open spaces and 26 imambargahs and no parking would be allowed near them. Special deployment has been made at Faisal Mosque. Under the plan, there would be an additional deployment at major shopping centres, markets and public places during the last days of Ramazan. Duties have also been assigned at bus stands, graveyards and railway stations.  Bomb disposal teams would also scan various areas. The police would patrol in various sectors on Eid and contingents of Pakistan Rangers and police commandos will assist them in security duties.
