Two injured in Quetta blast

Two vehicles were also damaged in the explosion

QUETTA: At least two people were injured in a remote-controlled blast on Double Road, in Quetta city on Friday afternoon.

According to Quetta police, an IED planted near two vehicles parked outside a private hospital exploded, and as a result two passersby were injured.

BDS said about 4kg of explosive material was used in the blast.

While the area was soon cordoned by police and FC, the injured were shifted to civil hospital.

On Sunday, at least one person was killed while 18 others were injured in an IED blast near Bacha Khan Chowk area of the provincial capital.

“Terrorists have now chosen common people as their target,” DIG Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema had said.
