LAHORE:

A writ petition asking the government to draft a law to stop lawyers from misbehaving with judges was filed in the Lahore High Court on Thursday. Barrister Syed Javed Iqbal Jafree filed the petition saying that the uncouth behaviour and contemptuous language several lawyers used while dealing with judges hindered the provision of justice. It also violated the sanctity of courts. He requested the court to order the government to make such behaviour punishable by law.
