GHALLANI:

Heavy rain in Mohmand Agency ended up damaging the area’s press club Tuesday night.

Mohmand Press Club General Secretary Ziaullah told The Express Tribune the main water drain of the political administration’s colony overflowed, damaging the walls of press club and flooding the premises. The drain passes through Mohmand Press Club as well as the colony’s main gate.

The press club president’s office, computer labs and rooms with other electronics were also damaged. Ziaullah said, “Such floods damaged the main boundary walls of the press club in 2012 as well.”

He said he had complained to the political administration to change the location of the main drain passing through the press club “but to no avail”. Ziaullah added the press club hall was also not in very good condition and could be a safety risk.
