Nizam Energy of Sindh and Scatec Solar signed the MoU in Oslo on Tuesday to establish three solar plants to generate 150MW through clean energy in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Norwegian counterpart Erna Solberg witnessed the signing ceremony.
In a meeting with the Norwegian premier, Nawaz discussed prospects for cooperation in energy and exchanged views on regional security situation, Afghanistan issue and Pakistan-India relations.

Addressing the joint press conference after a bilateral meeting with Solberg, Nawaz said that he had sought Norway’s cooperation on hydro-electric projects. He said Pakistan is facing acute power shortage and the government is trying to overcome it in next two, to three years.
Referring to the peace talks between Afghan government and Taliban, the premier expressed the hope that the talks would have some positive outcome which would be helpful for peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Nawaz is currently is on three-day official visit to Norway to attend the Oslo Summit on Education for Development.
