Technical Skills: Punjab govt initiates training programme

Particular attention in this regard is being made to incorporate modern and updated training curriculum

KARACHI: The Punjab government has launched a technical skill training programme for the youth with focus on the needs of the local market as well as middle-eastern job markets, said Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar.

During his visit to the Aman Tech Institute functional in Korangi area of Karachi, the minister said that in compliance to the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, an all-out effort is also being made to create employment opportunities for the youth.

Particular attention in this regard is being made to incorporate modern and updated training curriculum in government-owned technical and vocational centres, said Sarwar.

Accompanied by his cabinet colleague, Minister for Industries Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq and senior officials belonging to the concerned departments, Sarwar said that their visit to Aman Tech was part of the government’s vision to empower youth on the basis of their capacity-building in terms of skill and trade.
