JUI-F rejects PPP's offer of reconciliation
JUI-F plans to submit an application to the National Assembly on Monday saying that it wants to sit in the opposition.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Saturday rejected an offer of reconciliation with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government made by Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
Malik met with the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazlur Rehman chief at his residence in Islamabad.
According to sources, Malik conveyed President Asif Ali Zardari's message to the JUI-F cheif that the PPP government wants to continue its policy of reconciliation.
The message also said that the government wants to clarify all misunderstandings that emerged after the dismissal of the two ministers, Azam Khan Swati and Hamid Saeed Kazmi.
However, JUI-F plans to submit an application to the National Assembly speaker on Monday saying that JUI-F wants to sit in the opposition.
