Bb murder case: Two key witnesses to appear today

RAWALPINDI: Hearing of the murder case of former premier Benazir Bhutto will take place at the anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi on Monday (today) where Judge Mohammad Ayub Khan has summoned two key witnesses in the case. Security in-charge of the former Pakistan Peoples Party chief SSP Imtiaz Ahmad and the driver of Bhutto’s car on the day of her death Javedur Rehman have been directed to ensure their presence in court. The court will also receive a report on preparations to record the statement via video-link of another key witness in the case: journalist and author Mark Siegel. The former prime minister was killed in a suicide attack in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007. The case has been ongoing for over seven years.
