CHARSADDA:


A cache of ammunition was seized from two suspected militants in Chowk Azam, Charsadda on Saturday night. According to the police and security force officials, 80 kilogrammes of explosives, 20 hand grenades, 200 metre prima cords and 20 detonators were found in their possession. Both men were immediately taken into custody and shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.


Insiders familiar with the matter told The Express Tribune both men revealed vital information about their accomplices during interrogation. Subsequently, security officials raided a building in Palosa and arrested their accomplices.


Earlier on Saturday, at least 135 kilogrammes of hashish was found inside cylinders in a vehicle on Kohat-Orakzai Road. According to the police, a passenger coach was flagged down at a police checkpoint and drugs were found in empty LPG cylinders fitted in the flying coach.
