Education for all: ‘Aao Parhao to focus on adult literacy in DG Khan’

He said the government had allocated Rs800 million for the programme

DERA GHAZI KHAN: Provincial Assembly Member Mehmood Qadir Leghari said the Aao Parhao education programme would be launched in Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur with an emphasis on adult literacy.

He said the programme would focus on making education accessible for women. He said the government had allocated Rs800 million for the programme. The MPA said 1,040 centres for adult literacy centres would be set up in three divisions of south Punjab. He said nearly 200,000 women would benefit from the programme. The MPA said 70 basic education schools had been set up in south Punjab under the programme.
