Militants blow up another school in Bajaur Agency
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack so far

A primary school was destroyed by militants in Kamangara Nawagai sub division of Bajaur Agency on Sunday.
An official from political administration while confirming the blast said that unidentified militants had planted explosives in Boys' Primary School Karai Kamangara which resulted in destruction of the school during the wee hours of Sunday.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack so far.
The school was located near bordering Afghanistan’s Kunar province, an area which has come under myriads of attacks by the militants in the past.

Following the blast, the political administration launched an operation and arrested suspected militants under Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR).
Further, in Bajaur Agency militants have destroyed about 108 schools in last eight year. Around 70 per cent of these schools have now been reconstructed with the help of United Arab Emirates (UAE) government and other Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs).
Tribal peace committees are also working in the area to help the administration with maintaining peace.

Earlier on June 17, a boys’ primary school in Bajaur Agency had been razed to the ground when militants planted explosives in the building while security officials who were on their way to investigate the matter were also targeted.
“A boys’ primary school was blown up in the early hours of the morning. The militants had planted explosives in the building,” a senior official of the political administration told The Express Tribune.
The incident took place in the volatile Mamoond Tehsil of Bajaur Agency which is considered to be the spiritual homeland of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s top leadership. The area still remains off-limits to outsiders.
