Taking care: Sindh police to set up welfare board

KARACHI: The Sindh police have decided to establish the Sindh Police Welfare Management Board (SPWMB) for the welfare of the families of the martyrs of the police department. This was decided in a meeting headed by Sindh IG Ghulam Hyder Jamali at his office on Friday, which was attended by senior police officials including Traffic AIG Khadim Hussain Bhatti, Karachi AIG Ghulam Qadir Thebo, Counter-Terrorism Department AIG Sanaullah Abbasi and all the zonal DIGs. The meeting reviewed the cases pertaining to the compensation of the families of the martyred policemen as well as jobs in the police department and residences for their family members. The Sindh IG ordered the establishment of SPWMB under the supervision of research and development AIG Mushtaq Maher.
