This was announced by Balochistan Heath Minister Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch while addressing a ceremony held on Sunday
QUETTA:
After a gap of 15 years, Balochistan’s civil hospitals will get angioplasty facilities, with the government set to provide free stents to 500 poor cardiac patients at two hospitals of Quetta. This was announced by Balochistan Heath Minister Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch while addressing a ceremony held on Sunday to launch the programme to provide stents and other necessary items worth Rs 250,000 to 500 deserving patients at Bolan Medical Complex and Sandeman Civil Hospital Quetta. He said a number of doctors had been drawing salaries from the health department but were living abroad. Earlier, Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Nasser Khan Janjua termed the scheme “a great service to humanity”. He recalled that when he was a lieutenant colonel, he could not afford to purchase stent for his mother who was suffering from heart disease.
