In the first incident, an FC official was gunned down by unidentified persons.
Ijaz Khan, an official of Shabqadar police station, told The Express Tribune Mutahir Shah was sleeping in his hujra on Sunday morning when unidentified assailants entered the premises and opened fire on him. The official said the deceased had no enemies.
According to some reports, Shah was shot near Katozai while he was on his way to the FC Training Centre.
A case has been registered and police are searching for the culprits. Relatives of deceased FC constable insist they have no enemies. Police believe the incident to be an act of terrorism.
Armed clashes
A man was killed while two others were injured in armed clashes between two groups in Kotak village.
According to the local police station, both groups opened fire on each other over a dispute. As a result, a man identified as Zubair Shah was killed.
Police official gunned down
A police officer was gunned down on Saturday by unidentified assailants in Alouch on the outskirts of Shangla.
A police official said Murad Khan was on his way home in plain clothes when gunmen ambushed and killed him. A case was filed and further investigation is under way.
VDC member’s son killed
A village defence committee (VDC) member's son was gunned down by unidentified assailants in rural Swat in the late hours of Saturday.
Charbagh police official Naseer Bacha said the incident occurred in Cham, adding Amir Zeb was gunned down as he stepped out of his house in the evening. The official said Amir Zeb was the son of VDC member Fazal Ghufran.
