‘Notorious’ target killer gunned down in Peshawar

According to reports, Naseer was known to be behind at least 21 target killings

PESHAWAR: A wanted target killer was gunned down during a police encounter on Sunday early morning in Hazar Khwani in Peshawar.

“Naseer alias Kareechay was a notorious, hired assassin with numerous target killings on his hands,” police told The Express Tribune.

“Naseer was a proclaimed offender and was known to have been responsible for deaths in which he had not been nominated, locals feared him and his reputation,” said SSP Operations Mian Saeed.

According to reports, Naseer was known to be behind at least 21 target killings and was wanted for several other crimes. He recently came under suspicion of killing two women in Peshawar.

Police said that he was usually hired for the “highest bid”, which was sometimes placed by members of banned militant groups.
