LAHORE:
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri, who had left the country last year for medical treatment, is due to arrive in Lahore on Monday morning, Express News reported.
According to reports, the PAT chief will reach Lahore's Allama Iqbal International airport at 7:20am, where he will be received by a large group of his party workers who will then escort him to his residence in Model Town.

The PAT chief will leave London today at 2pm and will stay in Dubai for a few hours before leaving for Pakistan. Earlier, PAT Supreme Council chairman Hassan Mohiyuddin Qadri had announced Qadri will reach Pakistan on June 29.
Dr Qadri had left Pakistan for United States last year on December 3, citing ill health as the reason for his departure. “I will continue to fulfill my commitment until my last breath,” the PAT chief had said, dismissing widespread rumours that he might not return.

Last week, Dr Qadri launched a “counter-terrorism” curriculum in London, to rebut the message of militant groups such as Islamic State (IS) and stop young people becoming radicalised and heading to Syria.

Qadri, who led his followers to lay siege to the parliament last August, said that he wanted his 900-page curriculum, containing theological and ideological arguments to undermine extremists, to be taught not just at mosques and Islamic institutions, but also at schools across Britain.
