Four sisters were gunned down while two children were shot, injured when a man opened fire on them in Mohallah Hussainia in Hashtnagri on Saturday. Police said Fazal Hussain, a local drug retailer, had a monetary dispute with Iqbal, a property dealer who was helping him buy a house. “Hussain had been asked to pay an additional Rs2 million for the purchase,” said an official of the local police station. “However, Iqbal had refused. This was the cause of frequent verbal disputes between the two,” On Saturday, Hussain allegedly barged into Iqbal’s house and beat him up. Iqbal’s daughters Ruqaiyya Bibi, Rani Bibi, Farhana Bibi and Nanhi came out of their rooms to save their father when Hussain gunned them down. Farhana Bibi’s two children were injured in the firing. Hussain managed to flee. Rescue 1122 workers rushed the children to Lady Reading Hospital.
