Broad Daylight: Bank, filling station looted

The robbers managed to escape unchallenged

DI KHAN: Unidentified robbers looted a bank and a filling station in Tank Adda area of DI Khan city on Thursday. According to a police official, six men barged into a Muslim Commercial Bank branch around 11am and attacked the on-duty security guards, Abdullah and Saifur Rehman, with the butt of their rifles. “They held the staff at gunpoint and looted over Rs4.5 million from the vault,” he told The Express Tribune. On their way out they also looted the nearby Naveed Petrol Pump of Rs5.5 million. The robbers managed to escape unchallenged. Following the incident, City police reached the site. The security guards were rushed to DI Khan District Headquarters and Teaching Hospital in Qingqui rickshaws. Investigation is under way.
