ISLAMABAD:

It is the duty of policemen to provide relief to people and those bringing a bad name to the force would not be tolerated, said SSP (Operations) Sajid Kiani after taking ‘serious notice’ of a firing incident by a constable during a domestic dispute in Sector G-9/2, stated a press release.

According to details, Rescue 15 was called by a woman during a dispute with her husband in Sector G-9/2 a few days ago. On her call, ATS Constable Fareed Anwer reached the site and tried to establish relations with the woman and later began loitering around their house.

On Tuesday, he again came to the house and had a brawl with the neighbours and the woman’s husband. He entered the house and opened fire on Muhammad Khalid, the woman’s husband, who remained safe.

The SSP took serous notice of the incident and ordered to arrest the constable. He said those bringing a bad name to the department will have to face strict disciplinary action.
