According to the schedule, nomination papers for the polls would be submitted on June 25 and 26 whereas their scrutiny would be held on June 29 and 30.
Meanwhile, objections against nomination papers are to be filed on June 28, and appeals against acceptance or rejection of nominations papers will be filed between July 1 and 2. These appeals will then be decided on July 3 and 4.

Last date for candidates to withdraw their nomination papers has been set as July 5, with a final list of contestants likely to be issued on July 6.
The ECP had on March 11 had submitted its proposed schedule for the much-awaited polls to the Supreme Court, and it was subsequently approved.
