Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan is yet to release but he has already secured a slot for Eid next year

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan's Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan is yet to hit the screens but that hasn't stopped him from already securing a slot for Eid next year.

A teaser of Sultan starring Salman was released on Tuesday that caused a storm on social media. Salman is playing a wrestler in the film which will be directed by Abbas Ali Khan and produced by Yash Raj Films.



The teaser was released on Twitter along with the official release date.

The teaser starts with a quote by Sultan, the character being played by Salman: "Wrestling is not a sport. It is about fighting what lies within.”

There have been reports that Shah Rukh Khan's Raees, which marks Mahira Khan's Bollywood debut, will also be released on Eid next year. If that's true, fans of both Khans are in for a treat.

Salman will be playing the role of a 40-year-old boxer in Sultan and is expected to go through rigorous workout sessions and follow a strict diet to change his entire physique and body language. Interestingly, Salman's good friend Aamir Khan is also playing a wrestler in his upcoming film Dangal which is also scheduled to release next year. Aamir has already put on a lot of weight to get his look right. It is to be seen if Salman will follow in his footsteps.

The lead actress, who has not been cast as yet, will also play the role of a wrestler. Bollywood beauties like Kangana Ranaut and Parineeti Chopra were rumoured to play the lead but reportedly it is Deepika who will get to be a part of the film as reported by Business of Cinema. If so, this will be the first time Deepika and Salman would be seen together on the big screen.

Salman Khan is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan which will release on Eid this year.
