The Islamabad Police have decided to supply sehri and iftari meals to its staff at the place of duty to make sure they deliver duties effectively and efficiently.

While chairing a meeting aimed at reviewing security arrangements in connection with Ramazan on Sunday, Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Islamabad Sajid Kiani directed all zonal SPs, DSPs and SHOs to have iftar with their subordinates performing duties at pickets. He said this would encourage them to perform their duties in an effective manner. “No laxity in facilitating the subordinates will be tolerated,” Kiani said.

He said all police officials will have to remain alert especially at sehri, iftari and taraveeh hours so that safety and security of the citizens was ensured.

The SSP also emphasised on the need for a good liaison between the police and citizens in the capital to keep a watch on anti-social elements.

He said the police would have to adopt a practical approach to win the confidence of citizens through courteous attitude.

Kiani said he would himself check duties at duty points and coordinated efforts will be made to eradicate street crimes.

He asked all SPs, SDPOs and SHOs to bring down the crime rate and enhance patrolling.
