Pmd announcement: Heat wave to persist for next 24 hours

Highest temperature of 46 degrees Celsius recorded in Sibbi, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Larkana, Jacobabad and Sukkur

ISLAMABAD: The heat wave gripping most parts of the country will persist during next 24 hours, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Very hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 24 hours. However, thundershowers with gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Mirpurkhas, Bannu, Kohat divisions, FATA and Kashmir and its adjoining areas during night. The highest temperature of 46 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Sibbi, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal, Larkana, Jacobabad and Sukkur.
