
At Faisalabad Central Jail, three murder convicts were hanged amidst high security. Nabeel Ahmed, Muhammed Saleem and Muhammed Rashid were all handed the death sentence for committing murders in 2000 and 1998 respectively.

A further two convicts were hanged in Sahiwal Central Jail.
Meanwhile, a man convicted of murdering two people was executed in Mianwali Central Jail, while another was hanged in Gujrat.

Ghulam Rasool who was handed the death sentence for a murder committed 15 years ago, however, for reasons unknown; his execution was stayed.
Having hanged over 150 people since a moratorium was lifted late last year, Pakistan announced that it would pause executions of condemned prisoners for around 30 days, in reverence of Ramazan.
