ISLAMABAD: An expo titled “Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) Exhibition 2015” began here on Tuesday with an aim to promote peace through economic development. The exhibition is jointly being organised by the Fata Secretariat with the support of Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF). Moreover, the MDTF’s supported project Economic Revitalisation of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Fata (ERKF) focuses on revitalisation of economic activity and creating livelihood opportunities in the region. The ERKF is administered by the World Bank and implemented by the Fata Secretariat. The project’s ongoing emphasis is on providing direct support to small and medium enterprises, attracting investment from diaspora communities, and building capacities of various institutions through regulatory reforms.
