Deadly Rivalry: Man shot dead

LAHORE: A man was shot dead and another was injured by three gunmen in Mughalpura on Monday. Police said that Asim, a resident of Mujahidabad in Ramgarh, was a scrap dealer. “Javed, a colleague of Asim’s, was arrested by police a few days ago for gambling. He suspected that Asim had informed police about his gambling den. On Monday, Javed and two unidentified accomplices, came to Asim’s scrap yard. They called him out and shot him. They then fled on a motorbike,” police said. Asim and his nephew Anas were injured.They were taken to a hospital, where Asim was pronounced dead on arrival. Anas is stated to be in serious condition.
