The order comes after his seven-day physical remand in police custody expired.
According to initial information, a first information report, FIR No 176/15 was registered at the Azizabad police station on a complaint filed by a Rangers official Riaz, who charged Khan for harbouring criminals and providing them protection.

According to reports, Khan had made a request to ATC for a B-class cell during his period in prison which the court accepted.
The MQM leader had been detained by Rangers when the paramilitary force raided MQM’s headquarters Nine-Zero on March 11, 2015.

Rangers had arrested scores of party workers, including Faisal Mehmood alias Mota, who was condemned to death by a court over his involvement in the murder of television journalist Wali Khan Babar.
