Promoting culture: American delegation visits NBF
The old books are reviewing and new ideas and thoughts are publishing day by day in a way to promote book
ISLAMABAD:
An American delegation of Cultural Heritage Programme visited National Book Foundation (NBF) and appreciated its work, bookshop and book museum. The delegation comprising Cultural Heritage Programme Manager Dr Laura Tedesco, Archaeologist and Cultural Heritage Program Manger from the US Embassy was also briefed about the aims, role and working of the NBF. Managing Director, NBF, Prof Dr Inamul Haq Javeid briefed the delegation. He explained the role NBF plays in developing and promoting the Book Culture among people. “The old books are reviewing and new ideas and thoughts are publishing day by day in a way to promote book reading habit among people with a fast pace, he said. Now the books published and republishing are going throughout the country. Book fairs and book galas are being organised in every city for promotion of book culture in the country.
