LAHORE: Dozens of lawyers staged a rally on Tuesday to protest atrocities committed against Muslims in Burma. The lawyers walked from Aiwan-i-Adl to PMG Chowk, carrying placards and shouting slogans against the killing of Rohingya Muslims. They demanded that the government take concrete measures in this regard. Young Lawyers’ Forum president Waqas Dogar said instead of playing a blame game, the government should take measures to protect the lives of Rohingya Muslims. He said it was deplorable that the government, political parties and the media were playing the role of silent spectators in the crisis. He urged the international community to take immediate steps to ensure the protection of the Muslim community members.
