Minor girl drowns in Ravi River

A minor girl drowned while bathing in Ravi River on Monday, Express News reported.

Two other girls who were also bathing in the river were rescued by locals in the area. According to reports, the girls belonged to a vagrant family and took a dip into the river to beat the heat.

Last year, eight children of a family had drowned when a motorcycle rickshaw fell into the river. In yet another incident, three picnickers had drowned in Ravi while one of them was rescued. They were first year students of Pharmacy College Sahiwal.
