I trust that Will is a man of integrity: Jada Pinkett Smith

The actress speaks about her 18-year marriage to superstar Will Smith

Jada Pinkett Smith says that her 18-year marriage to superstar Will Smith is based on a relationship of trust. She said that at the Howard Stern Show that aired on Wednesday. 

In an interview with host Howard Stern the actress stated that she doesn't keep an eye on her husband due to trust issues. "You gotta trust who you're with and at the end of the day, I'm not here to be anybody's watcher ... he's a grown man." said Jada.

Howard seemed surprised that although the couple have "psychological freedom" to date whomever, neither of them so far have chosen to act on it.

To which the Gotham actress replied, "I trust that Will is a man of integrity. He's got all the freedom in the world, and as long as Will can look himself in the mirror and be OK, I'm good."

Over the years the pair have battled many rumours about their relationship, but the Magic XXL star, says she is well connected with her husband.

"Thank God I have a husband who's just a gangster partner because can you just imagine taking that road together from 25 to 44?" she said. "You've got to be strong as it takes a lot of work."

The 43-year-old actress revealed that the couple discuss co-star crushes to each other. Jade said, "You have to, in this business, because I'm gonna know anyway!"

She further explained that it is unrealistic for a woman to believe that a man's eyes will not wander. "I'm not the kind of woman that believes that a man is not gonna be attracted to other women. I'm just not that girl. It's just not realistic."

The Focus star uploaded a few posts on Facebook recently that revealed a playfulness element between the couple.

Late last month, the actor, 46, shared a picture of himself tucking a popsicle stick under his wife's tank top.

A couple of hours later, he posted a sweet selfie of the pair, with Smith holding the popsicle stick.

Jade concluded the interview by saying, "Just because your man is attracted to another woman does not mean he doesn't love you. And it doesn't mean he's gonna act on it. If your man can’t really see another woman's beauty, how the hell is he gonna see yours?"
