FAISALABAD:

The Education Department on Wednesday issued notices to 33 private schools in Faisalabad for not complying with the official notification announcing summer vacations and demanding three-months advance dues from students.

The Education Department had issued instructions to all public and private schools to close on June 1. They had been told to not to collect three-month advance fee for the vacations.

Education EDO Bashir Zahid told newsmen that 25 teams had been constituted to take action against schools found violating instructions after a number of complaints were received in this regard.

He said these teams conducted surprise visits and found 33 schools violating instructions. He said notices had been served to administrations of these schools. “We have issued notices as a first step,” he said. “If they do not respond and are found violating orders, these schools would be sealed and their registration cancelled.”
