7 killed as poll violence continues in Tank
Eight people were also injured as gunmen attacked a polls celebration party

At least seven people were killed and more than eight injured when unidentified men opened fired and hurled grenades at a celebratory gathering after the completion of local government elections in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.
“An independent candidate Wali Khan had arranged a musical gathering to celebrate his win in the local government elections which was targeted,” an official from the area said.

“There were reports of casualties but so far rescue efforts have not begun," the official added, saying the village Kari Haider where the incident occurred is at a distance from the main Tank city.
Eye witnesses from the area said that seven people had been killed and more than eight were injured three of whom were critical.
"The bodies and the injured are still lying around" said Adnan, a resident of the area.

Authorities said it was not clear whether the incident was that of terrorism or a tribal feud.
Further, the death toll could not be officially confirmed till the filing of this report.
The incident comes after five people were killed in similar incidents in Kohat and Nowshera districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, late Sunday evening.
