PFUJ to protect jobs of working journalists

A press release said that a delegation of the PFUJ will call on the leaders of All Pakistan Newspapers’ Society (APNS), Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) and Pakistan Broadcasting Association (PBA) to discuss the issue. The meeting demanded that PBA should play its due role to protect the employments of working journalists in all organisations.
The meeting decided that a PFUJ committee will have a meeting with the management of Bol TV in Karachi and discuss the issue of payment of salaries and job security of the employees.
The committee will comprise PFUJ Secretary General Amin Yousaf, Senior Member FEC Hasan Abbas, President Karachi Union of Journalists GM Jamali and General Secretary Wajid Raza Isphani. The committee will ensure uninterrupted payment of salaries and other benefits to the employees of Bol.
PFUJ president Rana Azim and Secretary-General Amin Yousaf said Express News gave exemplary coverage to PFUJ decisions on issues relating to journalists and urged the owners of all other channels and newspapers to perform their duty in a similar manner.
