Increasing Vigilance: Two new police stations now functional
Karachi Company and Shams Colony police stations are now functional after approval last month
ISLAMABAD:
Two new police stations of the capital went operational on Tuesday. A police official said that Karachi Company and Shams Colony police stations are now functional after the capital administration gave approval last month on the request of Inspector General of Police Tahir Alam Khan. Khalid Awan has been appointed as SHO Karachi Company and Muhammad Shafique appointed as SHO Shams Colony. The Karachi Company Police Station will cover sectors E-9, F-9 and G-8 which previously fell under the Margalla police’s jurisdiction. The Shams Colony Police Station will cover sectors H-11, H-12, I-12 and H-13, which were earlier under the Sabzi Mandi police limits. The Faizabad Police Station will be established next week, said the official, adding that it will cover sectors H-8 and I-8, presently falling under the limits of the Industrial Area Police Station.
